Let’s ride into the Year of the Horse with some festive joy! From now until Lunar New Year, The Wai by MTR Malls is hosting “Explore Tai Wai 2026”, which promotes Tai Wai’s folk culture and festive traditions, with the theme “Pinwheel Art-preciation”. Inspired by the ever-thriving Che Kung Temple, The Wai is collaborating with various local artists and designers for a series of exquisite decorations and activities accentuated by pinwheels, fostering deeper connections within the community, with wishes of great fortune for a year with clear skies.
Designed by renowned architect and Sha Tin District local Stanley Siu Kwok Kin, the 6-metre tall “Stallion” art installation at the atrium signifies a run for success with its galloping stance. Part of 6 Insta-worthy spots, “Pinwheel Mirage”, “Pinwheel Art Garden” and the “Che Kung Miu Road Pinwheel Bridge” all manifest a year with affluence, connections, and family prosperity for a smooth sail!

| Stallion A six-meter-high art installation titled "Galloping Horse." The horse, with its powerful physique, is composed of over 500 triangular geometric shapes. Each triangular component is intricately carved with the character "福" (fortune/blessing), and the entire piece is adorned with over 2800 "福" characters, symbolizing continuous blessings and the arrival of good fortune.
